Living in Abundance by Bishop Linus Midalla

Living in abundance means experiencing the fullness of life that God intends for us. That life is in our bloodline. It flows in, and through us. It is not limited to material wealth but encompasses spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being. The God we serve is interested in us living the Goodlife. It is His will that we have the best, eat the best, drive the best, live in the best, become an example of the God kind of life here on earth. His life is the life of abundance that flows in us.

Ways We Can Live in Abundance:
The good news is that God wants to reveal His perfect plan for your life to you more than you want to know it.

‣ Seek First the Kingdom of God.
The kingdom of God is God’s way of doing things. Matthew 6vs33 NIV: But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. True abundance begins with prioritizing God’s kingdom. When we focus on God and align our lives with His will, He takes care of our needs, both spiritual and material.

‣ Be a Sickler for the Word and live-in obedience
If you want to be victorious in all you do, the word of God must be superior to all-natural human knowledge, situations and circumstances. God used His Word to set the standards by which we would operate. It had to be by faith through His word. People don’t have problem hearing the word, they have a problem doing what the word says. It is the word of God that makes the man of God and the believer effective.
Isaiah 1vs19 KJV: If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. Many Christians are not prospering today because they are not willing and obedient to the call of God on their lives or go the specific direction God has given them. Obedience to God and His word opens the door to abundant blessings. Following His commandments leads to favor and prosperity in every aspect of life.
Jesus came so that we may have abundant life. Trusting God’s promises and living by faith allows us to access the fullness of life Jesus offers. Your word becomes God’s Word when you believe and speak it. Your lips become God’s Ambassador. God’s Word in your mouth, fresh from the love in your heart, burns in the heart of the hearer. It is vital that we speak
the word of God constantly and rightly.
2 Timothy 3vs16-17: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. JB PHILIPS: All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the faith and correcting error, for re-se ng the direction of a man’s life and training him in good living. The scriptures are the comprehensive equipment of the man of God and fit him fully for all branches of his work. Deuteronomy 28vs1-2 NIV: If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all His commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.
‣ Live by Faith and not by sight

Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. It must arise in each person’s heart based on the Word of God. Faith honours God and God honours faith.

1 Corinthians 5vs7 KJV: For we walk by faith, not by sight. We can only come to the father, and also please Him by faith.
Hebrews 11vs6 KJV: But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
It is by faith that we access the things that are freely given to us by God.

Give Constantly and Generously.
Abundance flows from a constant and generous heart. When we give, we not only bless others but also position ourselves to receive God’s blessings in return.

2 Corinthians 9vs6-8 NIV: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously… And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Renew your mind daily
Romans 12vs2 MSG: Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Living in abundance requires a mindset change. We must shi􀀅 from worldly thinking and renew our minds with God’s truth. This helps us see life through the lens of God’s abundance. Others simply need to get their thinking straightened out so they can think, talk, and act in line with God’s Word concerning abundance.

Walk in Love as you stay connected to Christ
John 4vs16 NIV: God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
Love is at the core of abundance. When we live in love, we reflect God’s nature, which opens doors to spiritual and relational prosperity.

Be Diligent with the works of your hands
Living in abundance is about embracing God’s promises, trusting His provision, and aligning with His ways. It’s a holistic experience of thriving in every area of life; spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and materially. Some Christians dishonor God and His Word, not only by failing to tithe and give offerings, but in the way they conduct their business affairs. You need to be committed to whatever you are doing, adhere to the principles of the Bible, and see God cause you to spread across Nations.

Deuteronomy 28vs12 NLT: The LORD will send rain at the proper me from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.
Believing that God has a good plan for your life brings peace and assurance that He will lead you into His abundance.
Jeremiah 29vs11 NIV: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
If we continue to honour God and His word, we will definitely walk and live-in abundance. It is my prayer that this teaching will bring God’s blessings to your life so you can be a blessing to the Kingdom of God and the work of God on the earth. There’s an outpouring of abundance in this season. Welcome to your new way of living, and receive all that He has prepared for you in Jesus’ Name!
